Getting up and walking
When a big dog gets older, it’s often the back legs that start to fail. Getting up from the floor, climbing two steps or getting into the car becomes a delicate moment, and whoever cares for them ends up improvising with a towel and a sore back.
A harness with handles won’t solve everything, but it can make those moments more comfortable for both of you. It usually suits dogs that get up with a little help and stand on their back legs even if they’re weak. If they can’t put weight on them, have a recent wound or have changed suddenly, talk to your vet first. You can take our 1-minute quiz.
The harness is a support to help them; it isn’t made to carry their full weight. To choose the size, measure the chest and waist and check the guide. If in doubt, send us the measurements and we’ll recommend one.

Frequently asked questions
How do I know if the harness is right for my dog?
It usually suits dogs that get up with a little help and stand on their back legs even if they’re weak. If they can’t put weight on them, have a recent wound or have changed suddenly, talk to your vet first. You can take our 1-minute quiz.
Which size should I order?
Measure the chest and waist and check the guide. If in doubt, send us the measurements and we’ll recommend one.
Can I put it on while my dog is lying down?
It opens and closes with quick-release buckles at the neck and on both sides of the body, so you don’t need to pull it over their head. If they’re lying down, you can close the buckles calmly; if you have questions, write to us and we’ll explain.
Is it suitable if they can’t move their back legs?
It isn’t right for carrying their full weight. Talk to your vet about other aids.
