What it’s for
To help and steady a dog that stands on its legs but needs help getting up, on stairs, getting in or out of the car and on short walks.
What it’s not for
- It isn’t designed to lift or carry a dog that can’t stand on its back legs.
- It doesn’t replace a wheelchair, an orthosis or your vet’s treatment.
- It isn’t a harness for securing your dog in the car.
How to put it on
-
Put on the chest piece and close the neck buckle.
-
Close the buckles on both sides of the body.
-
Adjust the back strap to the length of their back.
-
Wrap each leg strap around the hind leg and close it, so the whole harness sits firmly.
-
Adjust: you should fit two flat fingers between the harness and their body at any point.
-
To help them, hold both handles at once, keep your back straight and let them do what they can; you just go along with them.

Warnings
- Check seams, buckles and handles before each use. Don’t use it if anything is damaged.

- Check armpits, groin and belly every day: if you see redness, chafing or pulled-out fur, stop using it and talk to your vet.
- On hot days, use it only as long as needed and make sure they don’t overheat.
- Don’t lift your dog by the rear handle alone or leave them hanging from the harness.
- Don’t attach it to doors, furniture or the car seat belt.

Frequently asked questions
Can I put it on while my dog is lying down?
It opens and closes with quick-release buckles at the neck and on both sides of the body, so you don’t need to pull it over their head. If they’re lying down, you can close the buckles calmly; if you have questions, write to us and we’ll explain.
What if the rear part slips?
The rear part is joined to the chest piece along the back by a strap that adjusts to the length of their back, and it fastens with a strap around each back leg. If it still moves, it’s usually a loose fit or a size too big: send us a photo and we’ll help.
How high do the handles sit? I’m tall.
It depends on the size and on your dog’s height. Write to us with their measurements and your height, and we’ll tell you how they’ll sit for you.
Can they wear it all day?
Use it when they need help, such as getting up, on stairs or getting into the car, and take it off when they rest and for sleeping. While they wear it, check now and then that it isn’t rubbing.
How do I wash it?
Hand wash in cold water. Let it air-dry before putting it back on.
Can it be used right after surgery?
It depends on the surgery and where the wound is. Ask your vet whether your dog can wear a harness that rests on that area, and from when.
Is it suitable if they can’t move their back legs?
It isn’t right for carrying their full weight. Talk to your vet about other aids.
How much weight can it hold?
It’s a support to help them while they make the effort they can, not to lift them off the ground or carry their whole weight. That’s why we don’t give a load figure.
What if they don’t like wearing it?
Some dogs find the first days hard. Put it on for short periods, with a treat and at a calm moment. If they don’t get used to it, you have 14 days to withdraw from the purchase.
Is it a veterinary product?
No. It’s an aid for everyday life. Health questions are best taken to your vet.
